Our History:
With wife and kids beside him, Hiram DuRousseau founded the company that would become HD Truck & Tractor in 1982 as a small mowing and site clearing service provider. From this modest start, Hiram grew his family business one relationship and one job at time.
A decade later, under contracts with the Port of Lake Charles, DuRousseau and his growing team handled hundreds of tons of industrial materials from barge traffic, maintained Port properties and took on ever-more challenging projects.
Today, HD Truck & Tractor is a premier regional contractor for a host of multi-million dollar construction projects, including levee reconstruction, airport runways, new roads, championship golf courses and a 242 acre waterfront casino resort.
As our founder demanded in 1982, so does this company work today: with reliability and respect; with trust and honesty; with a sharp eye for safety and a passion for success.
